Job summary

Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, based at Feltham (TW14), is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join the team on-site. The role covers daily coordination of drivers and subcontractors, route finalisation in Polar track, and close collaboration with internal departments to maintain service levels.

The successful candidate will ensure temperature compliance, compile fuel and wage data, and support fleet operations including driver briefings and inductions.

Responsibilities

• Daily co-ordination and monitoring of drivers and subcontractors; build strong internal relationships.
• Provide support for special requirements and inform customer service.
• Produce daily transport issue reports for the network.
• Brief and debrief drivers.
• Ensure temperature compliance via journey tickets.
• Collate fuel and wages information.
• Assist with operational telephone calls.
• Liaise with trunk drivers for ETAs and departures.
• Finalise routes on Polar track in-house software.
• Carry out periodic vehicle and fridge checks.
• Report defects to the fleet manager.
• Ad-hoc driver sickness cover and induction training.

Job Description: Logistics Coordinator Based At Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB Tuesday to Saturday days 0830-1730 (40 hours)

Responsibilities

• Daily co-ordination and monitoring of company drivers and sub-contractors and develop excellent working relationships with internal departments.
• Provide support and assistance when dealing with special requirements and inform the customer service team.
• Produce daily reports, which detail any transport issues within the company network.
• Brief and debrief drivers.
• Ensure the temperature compliance has been maintained by reviewing journey ticket print outs.
• Collate fuel and wages information.
• Assist with operational telephone calls.
• Liaise with trunk drivers to report etas and collection point departures.
• Ensure that routes are finalized on Polar track (in house database).
• Carry out periodic spot checks of driver vehicles.
• Report any vehicle or fridge defects to the fleet manager.
• Ad-hoc driver sickness cover and induction training for new drivers.
