Overview

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Essex based client to recruit for a Logistics Coordinator

Main Accountabilities
  • Within the Logistics functions, ensure the flow of materials is quick and efficient and meets local demands.
  • Across the entire site, ensure the correct delivery of materials
  • Ensure stock levels are accurate both physically within the area and on SAP.
  • Aid customers with any part problems or stock queries and assist in their timely resolution
  • Flexibility within the logistics team due to variable workload; able to change between different tasks including administrative tasks across the Logistics areas as required.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety regulations and Manual Handling guidelines are adhered to within the working area while showing a duty of care to others within the area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects where required
Essential/Desired Experience
  • Computer literate - SAP and Outlook experience - though full training will be given
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Manual handling trained.
  • Strong team player with a can do approach.
  • Thorough and a high attention to detail
  • Ability to solve problems and customer oriented.
  • Fork lift truck licence
