Job summary

Autograph Recruitment is assisting a global-scale manufacturer to recruit a Logistics Coordinator for their site in Lydney. The role focuses on coordinating the movement of goods from order to delivery, working with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely arrivals.

You will manage transport schedules, liaise with suppliers and carriers, and aim to optimise stock levels and logistics processes while maintaining service quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain role.
• Understanding of shipping paperwork (delivery notes, invoices, customs documents) and awareness of import/export processes when dealing internationally.
• Experience using ERP systems, logistics software, or stock management systems, along with good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise shipments, book transport, and ensure deliveries are on time.
• Monitor stock levels and track incoming/outgoing goods, maintain inventory records.
• Handle delays, damaged goods, or missing shipments promptly to minimise disruption.
• Collaborate with purchasing, production, and customer service to align delivery schedules with business needs.
• Identify ways to reduce transport costs and improve logistics processes without compromising service.
