Job summary

Bucher Municipal in Dorking is seeking a Logistics Controller to manage end-to-end logistics control across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory and Manufacturing. You will also oversee prototypes and ensure engineering changes are properly implemented in the ERP system and BOMs.

Maintain data integrity, coordinate with Engineering and Production, and generate weekly KPIs to monitor system hygiene and lead times for materials from the Dorking plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics control across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory and Manufacturing.
• Pro-active liaison with inventory control to ensure CI's, STO's, backflushing/picking and closing production orders with high stock turns.
• Interpretation and actioning of engineering change notes into ERP systems and soft BOMs.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production to action prototypes and changes.
• Maintain system hygiene by keeping master data and production orders up to date.
• Create and run KPIs to monitor system hygiene weekly.
• Provide lead time information for materials from the Dorking plant.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for all aspects of Logistics Control between Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory and Manufacturing.
• Manage Prototypes and engineering changes into manufacturing/inventory areas.
• Communicate changes across departments to ensure smooth change management and lowest cost introduction.

This would include responsibility for managing Prototypes, engineering changes into the manufacturing/inventory areas. Effectively communicating with all departments to ensure that change management is smooth and results in the lowest cost introduction.The ideal candidate has:Pro-active liaison with the inventory control team to ensure that CI's, STO's, backflushing/picking and closing production orders is maintained and actioned to the highest standard, targeting stock turns of above 10 and inventory accuracy above 98%.Main DutiesInterpretation/actioning of engineering change note requirements into ERP system and soft bill amending of production order BOM's.Ensure prototypes get actioned and completed in a timely manner to a high standard.
