Job summary

East Ayrshire Council is recruiting for a full-time temporary role based at Burnside Street, Kilmarnock. The post involves assisting in the delivery of plant, transport and PPE related activities to support Housing Asset Services.

Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am–4.00pm and Friday 8.00am–3.30pm. Pay rates: £10.85 (16–20), £12.71 (21–22) and £13.45 (23+). Applicants must be East Ayrshire residents aged 16–24 (29 if care-experienced or disabled) and provide a suitable reference.

Qualifications

• Must be a current resident of East Ayrshire aged 16–24 (up to 29 if care experienced or disabled).
• Temporary full-time post based at Burnside Street, Kilmarnock.
• References may be required during the application process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering plant, transport and PPE related activities to support Housing Asset Services.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations as part of the team.
• Ensure eligibility criteria and pre-employment checks are met as per policy.
