A Logistics Company is seeking a Logistics and Procurement Administrator in South Shields. You will manage procurement processes and logistics to ensure timely delivery of vessel supplies worldwide. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication skills, and a focus on safety and compliance. Familiarity with marine sector procurement is highly desirable.
Position: Logistics and Procurement Administrator / Coordinator
Location: Head Office, South Shields (with potential UK and international shipyard travel)
Rate/Salary: £29,000
Type: Permanent/Contract
This person will handle procurement and logistics to keep vessels supplied worldwide. They'll manage RFQs, purchase orders, suppliers, and global logistics within legislation and company standards. Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Marine sector procurement or logistics experience is highly desirable.
Desirable: Experience with international freight, ship spares in transit, and bonded goods. Understanding of supply chain cost, quality, and delivery performance. Knowledge of UK Public Sector Procurement Legislation and customs regulations.
