Job description
Overview

PE Global is recruiting a Logistics Administrator for our industrial manufacturing client based in Desford. The role is an initial 12‑month contract with an hourly rate of £15.81 PAYE or £24.39 Umbrella ph. The role covers a wide range of logistics topics, mainly supporting administration tasks for the 200‑vehicle fleet on site. The successful candidate will work closely with the client’s main fleet suppliers, resolve problems, and maintain good communication among internal departments regarding fleet vehicle status and relationship building.

The work hours are 07:30‑16:00 Monday–Thursday, 07:30‑10:30 Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the Logistics Planning team with support for day‑to‑day tasks such as data entry, laminating, printing, and ordering goods.
  • Network and build relationships with other departments at Desford to help support operations across the site.
  • Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
  • Manage MHE fleet invoicing, provide purchase orders for vehicle repairs, input data into Excel spreadsheets, maintain the files, and become proficient in the Coupa/Next Gen Ordering System.
  • Support the resolution of invoicing disputes with suppliers and keep payments up to date.
  • Coordinate tyre fitters, services, windscreen replacements, etc.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of logistics/admin experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with departments and suppliers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Backgrounds in automotive, manufacturing or finance are useful.
  • Experience with MHE counterbalance trucks would be beneficial.
