Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with a Lower Limb focus. The role is based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, with occasional off-site clinics and a six-month contract to address knee/arthroplasty demand.

The successful candidate should be competent in primary knee and hip arthroplasty, participate in the on-call rota, and work within a busy, multi-disciplinary team in a modern surgical centre.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration is required.
• FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent.
• Evidence of teaching and training of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital with occasional off-site clinics.
• Participate in on-call rota and six-month locum rotation.
• Competent in primary knee and hip arthroplasty.
