Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Castleford. The role involves delivering chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine clinic duties in a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity within a well-organised practice with supportive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsabilités

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
