Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a NMC-registered Practice Nurse to provide flexible sessional cover across Strathdon and surrounding GP practices. The role focuses on treatment room clinics, chronic disease reviews and preventive health activities.

You will work with multiple primary care teams, follow clear protocols, and deliver high-quality nursing care in a well-supported environment, with ad-hoc or ongoing bookings based on availability.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurses with primary care experience are required.
• Immunisation and cytology training are beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
