Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a NMC-registered Practice Nurse for flexible locum sessions in Fowey. The role spans treatment room clinics, chronic disease management, and preventive health, across multiple primary care teams.

You’ll perform routine nursing tasks, contribute to long-term condition reviews, and support with immunisations and health checks where trained. The position offers fully flexible sessions with options for weekday, evening, or weekend work, including ad-hoc or ongoing bookings

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.
• Enhanced DBS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Undertake immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
