Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work in Lostwithiel and surrounding area. The role offers flexible sessional hours across community health settings and GP surgeries, balancing treatment room duties with clinical reviews and preventive health activities.

You will support routine clinics, deliver procedural care and assist with core nursing responsibilities, with clear expectations to ensure safe, consistent practice. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and primary/community care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology experience is advantageous.
• Confident in routine treatment room work and adaptable to new clinics.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills are essential.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsabilités

• Run treatment room clinics including wound care and procedures.
• Support chronic disease and long-term condition reviews.
• Administer immunisations where trained.
• Perform smear tests where qualified.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation across clinical systems.
• Provide clinical support to GPs and nurses.
