Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Boston. This role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills who can deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work, and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership, and clear daily clinic delivery.

Qualificações

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation training up-to-date; cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with NHS IT systems (EMIS, SystmOne or Vision).
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Conducting chronic disease reviews for patients (asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension).
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carrying out immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
