Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a Locum Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist to provide expert care across UK sites on flexible assignments. The role covers outpatient clinics, in-patient reviews, urgent flare clinics, and transition care, with travel to regional sites as required and close collaboration with NHS colleagues.

The rate is £100–£110 per hour (PAYE only), with GMC registration support and a streamlined onboarding process.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise (essential).
• NHS experience and familiarity with NHS systems.
• DBS/PVG check or willingness to obtain one.
• UK Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of paediatric rheumatology conditions.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient care including complex cases.
• Lead and supervise junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
• Participate in MDT meetings and clinical governance activities.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and research within the department.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to guidelines.
