Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist for a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Liverpool. The role covers 10 sessions per week with on-call duties (1:16) and involves paediatric anaesthesia lists, teaching, and clinical governance.

The post offers a salary in the range of £113,565 to £150,569 pro rata per year, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for research and leadership activities within a leading children's

Qualifications

• Primary medical degree CCT or within 6 months of CCT.
• Minimum of 7 years in a recognised anaesthetic training post. 1 year advanced level training in paediatric anaesthesia at a tertiary paediatric hospital.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the general on-call rota (1 in 16, class A).
• Participate in lists allocated to general paediatric anaesthesia and pre-/post-op activity.
• Teach and train undergraduates and postgraduates.
• Develop research interests in relevant areas and participate in quality improvement/audit.

Education
