Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Nurse Practitioners in New Milton to provide flexible sessional cover across primary care services, balancing autonomy with consistent local opportunities.

You will run NP-led clinics, handle minor illness, support triage, and prescribe where qualified, with DBS checks and a range of ad-hoc or ongoing bookings.

Flexible weekday, evening or weekend sessions offered to fit your availability, with support across GP practices and community services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run independent NP clinics across primary care services.
• Manage minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments.
• Provide telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe within scope (if qualified).
• Handle clinical actions such as results and medication reviews.
• Record accurate and compliant clinical notes.
• Support wider clinical teams where required.
