Locum Ready is seeking Locum Nurse Practitioners to support primary care services in Welwyn. This role offers flexible sessions across various clinical environments, balancing autonomy with steady local opportunities.

You will deliver NP-led clinics, manage minor illness, support triage workflows, and perform general clinical duties with structured procedures to ensure safe practice. Flexible commitments include regular ongoing work or ad-hoc bookings, across weekdays, evenings, or weekends.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.
• Strong assessment and decision‑making skills.
• Adaptability when working across different clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run independent NP clinics across primary care services.
• Manage minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments.
• Provide telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribe within scope (if qualified).
• Handle clinical actions such as results and medication reviews.
• Record accurate and compliant clinical notes.
• Support wider clinical teams when required.
