Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide flexible locum cover across primary care settings in Purfleet-on-Thames. You will run independent NP clinics, manage minor illnesses, support triage workflows and carry out general clinical duties with structured procedures and clear expectations.

The role offers fully flexible sessions with weekday, evening or weekend availability, ad-hoc bookings or regular ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running independent NP clinics across primary care services.
• Managing minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments.
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing within scope (if qualified).
• Handling clinical actions such as results and medication reviews.
• Recording accurate and compliant clinical notes.
• Supporting wider clinical teams where required.
