Locum Litigation Solicitor - (Immediate Start Preferred)

Contract : Approx. 3 months +

Location : South Wales (local candidates strongly preferred)

We are partnering with a respected Local Authority in South Wales who are seeking an experienced Locum Litigation Solicitor to provide essential legal support across a broad range of council functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, adaptable legal professional seeking meaningful public sector work with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support across all Council departments, with a strong focus on litigation (civil and criminal / regulatory) as well as conduct of own advocacy in the Magistrates' Court on behalf of the Authority.

Due to the nature of the caseload, we are ideally seeking someone based in or willing to travel to South Wales.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer, with strong litigation experience (public sector or local government background desirable).
  • Confident advocate with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Able to hit the ground running and work independently.
  • Available immediately or at short notice.
