Locum Junior Planning & Highways Lawyer – Full Time – Up to £50 per hour umbrella – Remote Working – Initial 3+ months

Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Junior Planning & Highways Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3+ month basis. The role offers flexible remote working arrangements and is a great opportunity for a newly qualified Solicitor to join a friendly team.

The Role

Position: Locum Junior Planning & Highways Lawyer

Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension

Rate: Up to £50 per hour umbrella

Duties will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of Planning and Highways matters
  • Drafting and negotiating Section 106 Agreements
  • Advising and drafting Section 278/38 Highways Agreements
  • Advising on and assisting with Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) and related issues
  • Provide clear advice on related matters to internal department and external stakeholders
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with recent local government experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Planning & Highways matters
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
