Job summary

Scotland Radiology is seeking a Locum Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join an expanding service in Scotland. The role will deliver a broad range of interventional procedures and cover vascular and non-vascular IR with opportunities to teach and participate in research.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team and contribute to strategic development, with a 1:5 emergency on-call rota and collaborative multi-disciplinary engagement.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise.
• Eligibility for GMC Specialist Register.
• Evidence of Higher Specialist Training leading to CCT in Clinical Radiology (or within six months).
• CESR or equivalent specialist registration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consultant-led vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiology services.
• Perform a broad range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Participate in a 1:5 emergency Interventional Radiology on-call rota.
• Work closely with vascular surgery and other clinical specialities to deliver integrated patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical decision making.
• Support service planning, strategic development and innovation within Interventional Radiology.
• Supervise and teach radiology trainees, medical students and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and research activity.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD), appraisal and revalidation requirements.
