Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – Full Time – Up to £50 per hour umbrella – Yorkshire

Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join an established Housing Association in Yorkshire, to have oversight of a mixed caseload.

The Role:
  • Position: Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer
  • Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
  • Rate: Up to £50 per hour umbrellaWorking Pattern: Full Time or Part Time
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal supervision and oversight of a team of five, ensuring the legal accuracy, robustness, and procedural compliance of their ASB possession claims, injunctions, access injunctions, and litigated disrepair cases
  • Conduct technical reviews of draft pleadings, witness statements, evidence bundles, and correspondence to ensure compliance with legislation, case law, and pre‑action protocols
  • Attend court to undertake advocacy for key or complex hearings, including possession hearings, injunction applications, and committal proceedings
  • Offer specialist legal advice to case officers and internal teams on complex ASB enforcement, tenancy issues, and disrepair litigation strategy
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Solicitor with recent Public Sector or Housing Association experience
  • Strong evidenced experience within Housing Litigation
