Locum Ready is seeking General Practitioners for flexible locum sessions in Ystrad Mynach and surrounding areas. The role offers sessional work across multiple primary care services with autonomy and weekly availability, including urgent care and routine reviews.

You will deliver evidence-based GP care through urgent access, triage, and telephone consultations, in supportive clinical teams. Ideal candidates are GMC-registered GPs with NHS Performers List inclusion, experience in GP/urgent care

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with valid license.
• Inclusion in NHS Performers List.
• Experience in GP/urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Manage urgent and routine GP clinics across different primary care settings.
• Conduct telephone consultations and triage.
• Assess acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe within scope and handle medication queries.
• Review results, referrals and follow-up actions.
