Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Hinckley. You will manage a varied caseload, run routine and urgent clinics, provide telephone triage and ensure safe prescribing within established workflows.

The role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions, with full-day or half-day availability and potential for long-term bookings, in a supportive team environment across primary care.

Qualifications

• Must be GMC-registered General Practitioner and included on NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience required.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Running routine GP clinics and managing acute presentations.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• GMC-registered General Practitioner
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List
• Recent UK primary care experience
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS
