Job summary

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum General Practitioner to work for a GP practice in Dundee. This role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with full-day or half-day availability and ongoing bookings with potential for long-term arrangements.

You will deliver high-quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required within a supportive primary care environment that offers strong administrative support and established clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
