University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join the Emergency Department at the Royal Derby Hospital, Derby. This 12 month fixed term post covers maternity leave, with ongoing peer collaboration and service development.

The role involves supervising junior medical staff, delivering high‑quality care across Resus, Majors, Ambulatory ED and the Urgent Treatment Centre, and contributing to formal teaching and on‑call duties

Aufgaben

• Responsible for the care & treatment of patients in your charge & personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan, allowing for all proper delegation to, & training of your staff.
• Responsible for maintaining awareness of professional guidelines & acting in accordance with them.
• Responsible for the professional supervision, training & management of junior medical staff, carrying out teaching, examination & accreditation duties as required & contributing to postgraduate & continuing medical education activity locally, regionally & nationally as appropriate.
• Provision of an out of hours’ service with your Consultant colleagues including on‑call rota commitments, as indicated in the enclosed job plan.
