Job summary

A well-established dental practice in Heywood is looking for a Part Time Locum Dentist for 2-3 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients and must have a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry, full GDC registration, and at least five years of experience. The practice offers a friendly atmosphere, with competitive remuneration of £15 per UDA. This role is available immediately and will continue until March 2026.

Description

Part Time Locum Dentist required for 2-3 days in a busy, mixed, well established independently owned practice near Heywood, Manchester.

• £15 per UDA
• Private & Labs 50% split
• Mon, Wed & Thu + 3 Fridays per month
• Set within a Health Centre so lots of other services/staff about, very friendly atmosphere
• Very close to Market town centre & market so somewhere to go at lunchtime
• Hours 9am – 5pm with lunch 1pm – 2pm
• 2 fully computerised surgeries
• Digital X-rays
• A-dec Chair Light
• Handpiece Kit
• Exact Software
• Air Exchange system
• Existing, well maintained list
• Parking close by on road
• Available now till the end of March 2026

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) preferably with further postgraduate training.
• Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Minimum of five years’ experience in practice.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care with strong clinical expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and compliance with industry standards.
• Self-motivated to achieve great results for patients.
• Appreciation of “Can-Do” work ethic in a “Politics-Free” environment.
• Based in the UK – sponsorship is not available.
