A healthcare trust in Surrey is seeking a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join their team. The role involves providing clinical leadership, delivering high-quality care, and supporting Urogynaecology services. Candidates must have full GMC registration and relevant qualifications. This position is fixed term for 12 months, offering full-time working hours with opportunities for professional development.

This post is a fixed term post for a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist interest in Urogynaecology.
It is expected that the successful candidates will contribute to Obstetrics and Gynaecology and will become a core member of the Urogynaecology MDT of which there are an existing two Consultants and two Specialist nurses. The department is working towards BSUG accreditation. The candidate will also have a role in providing Labour Ward, Obstetrics and Gynaecology on-calls, Emergency Gynaecology and Elective Caesarean section lists. The candidate will also have opportunities to contribute to wider departmental responsibilities such as Governance and Leadership.
Candidates must have full GMC registration, have CCT (or be within 6 months of obtaining it), be on the specialist register. They must also be keen and willing to partake in the Obstetrics on call and cover (non-resident).
This substantive post attract 10 PAs in an approximate 8.5:1.5 split and includes a 1 in 16 non-resident on call rota and a 1 in 16 consultant of the week duty. Flexibility in job planning is a key part of the role.

The remit of the post holder is to join the current team of Urogynaecologists (one part time) who lead our Urogynae service alongside two Clinical Nurse Specialists.
The job plan will support the provision of specialist urogynaecology services such as clinics,cystoscopy lists, urodynamics and theatres at Ashford and St Peters Hospital.

The post holder would be expected to contribute to wider departmental service requirements suchas Labour ward, Obstetric and Gynaecology on-calls and emergency gynaecology.
