We are looking for Locum Intensive Care Medicine Consultants to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. Our 560 bed modern district general hospital in beautiful North Wiltshire. Swindon is a rapidly growing town surrounded by glorious countryside. The Great Western Hospital benefits from easy access to the M4 and road connections north to the Cotswolds. There are excellent rail links as well. There are ample opportunities to grow as a consultant including an in house, cross specialty quality improvement programme (Network and Navigate) and a clinical leadership course linked to Keele University (HELM) with time available to undertake these. A specialty interest in Intensive Care is essential. For candidates with a second specialty interest, there is an opportunity to combine this. Our current consultants are all anesthetists and they provide elective anaesthesia for a variety of DGH surgical specialties. We actively encourage the development of a specialist anesthetic interest.
