A leading cancer treatment center in the UK seeks a candidate to support prostate cancer patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include providing clinical leadership, participating in research activities, and managing departmental objectives. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality care for patients, with ample opportunities for career growth and development in a dynamic work environment.
This post will support the treatment of prostate cancer patients under the care of the uro‑oncology team in Sutton, Croydon and Epsom. Around 1,000 patients are referred to the Sutton uro‑oncology team per year, with around 600 radical prostate treatments conducted annually. The practice is wide ranging and includes complex radiotherapy planning, palliative radiotherapy, SBRT, adaptive and MR‑guided radiotherapy, palliative chemotherapy, androgen‑targeted therapies and radioisotopes for prostate cancer and chemo‑ and immunotherapy for bladder cancer. Participation in clinical trials is expected. The post holder will support consultant ward cover for our Sutton site, providing consultant review of uro‑oncology inpatients when required.
