Job summary

HealthJobs Ltd is seeking a Band 5 ACT Pharmacy Technician – Accuracy Checking Technician to join a hospital-based team in Radlett, Hertfordshire. You will support the dispensary, conduct medication reconciliations, and provide counselling to patients across wards and units.

The role requires a qualified pharmacy technician with at least two years’ hospital experience, including use of EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.

Qualifications

• Qualified pharmacy technician with at least two years of hospital experience.
• Experience working in mental health environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the dispensary with ordering, receiving, dispensing, and checking medication for wards and departments.
• Travel to various wards and units across Hertfordshire to provide pharmacy services.
• Conduct medicines reconciliations to ensure safe patient care.
• Assess patients' own drugs and transcribe for supply.
• Provide counselling to patients regarding medications.
• Participate in audits, stock reviews, and service development.
• Train and manage staff using your experience.
• Work in a hospital setting, including mental health environments, using EMIS Ascribe.
