Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work across primary care clinic settings in Hatton. This role supports GP clinics with autonomous minor illness assessments and routine primary care duties.

You will conduct triage, manage acute presentations, and perform routine assessments, with clear clinical pathways to ensure safe practice. Independent Prescribing is desirable; EMIS Web or SystmOne familiarity and enhanced DBS clearance are valued by the team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Strong minor illness and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different practice environments.
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous NP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing minor illness and undifferentiated presentations.
• Conducting face-to-face and telephone triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of practice (if qualified).
• Completing clinical follow-up actions including results and medication queries.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical documentation.
