Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Abergavenny. This role offers autonomous clinical work with full back-up from a multidisciplinary team in a well-organised primary care setting.

You will run minor illness clinics, diagnose and manage presentations, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes with support from the practice team. Flexible sessions and strong organisational structure help make each session efficient.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7 or postgraduate).
• V300 Independent Prescribing registration.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.
