Job summary

The appointee should ideally hold FRCP or FRCPath and will contribute to teaching, audits, and research within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registration on GMC Full and Specialist Register or eligible within six months of interview.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) or Pathologists (FRCPath) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical service for diagnosis and management of allergic disease.
• Cover colleagues' annual leave and authorised absences.
• Supervise junior medical staff and other team members (nursing staff, pharmacists, dietitians, STPs, and clinical scientists).
• Teach, examine and contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education locally and nationally.
• Participate in medical audit and CPD within Clinical Governance processes.
• Engage in research as appropriate to job plan.
• Willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional, or national levels.
• Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy.
