Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Fleetwood, offering structured, well-supported sessions for an autonomous clinician in primary care.

You will collaborate with GPs, nurses and the wider clinical team to perform comprehensive assessments, make safe clinical decisions and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes.

Flexible ad-hoc or regular sessions with morning and afternoon clinics; long-term or short-term roles available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner training at Level 7.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or emergency settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in clinic.
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Managing same-day and routine ACP appointments
• Assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of presentations
• Supporting on-the-day demand through telephone triage
• Prescribing independently where qualified
• Actioning results, referrals and follow-up tasks
• Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
