Job summary

Locum Ready in Northwich is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice on locum basis. The post welcomes ACPs from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds who can deliver autonomous assessments, safe decisions and efficient patient management within primary care.

You will run your own clinics in a supported MDT, delivering urgent and routine care with flexible sessions up to 4 days per week, morning and afternoon slots, and long‑term ongoing sessions.

Qualifications

• Must hold Advanced Clinical Practitioner Level 7/postgraduate qualification.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
