There is active investment in Acute Medicine services, enabling senior decision making, expanded SDEC facilities, and a single point of access hub. Candidates with leadership interests in education or system working across care settings are encouraged to

Qualifications

• Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Member of the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent.
• Proof of competency in emergency and elective index cases.
• Completed Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine, Acute Internal Medicine or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• See attached job description for essential criteria and duties.
• CANDIDATES are expected to contribute to service development and clinical governance.
• Participate in teaching and training of junior medical staff.

Education

Full GMC registration

Royal College of Physicians membership

Emergency and elective index case competency

Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in General/ Acute Internal Medicine or equivalent
