Zusammenfassung

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in Acute and General Medicine for Bedford Hospital to cover a six-month fixed-term post in the Acute Medical Unit. The appointee will join the AAU/SDEC service, provide consultant-led care, and participate in an integrated on-call rota.

You will join mornings rounds from 08:30 with a daily MDT discussion, and undertake ward rounds, post-take reviews, and outpatient clinics.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent all round experience of DGH work.
• Thorough training and experience in General/Acute Medicine.
• GMC registration and eligibility for consultant post.

Aufgaben

• Provide consultant-based service to AAU/SDEC patients with ward rounds and direct decision making.
• Participate in AAU rounds, MDT discussions, and communication of plans to staff.
• Carry out post-take rounds, outpatient clinics, and hospital consultations.
• Supervise junior medical staff and participate in Multidisciplinary Team meetings.
