Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work with a GP practice in Uxbridge. This role suits an ACP with nursing, paramedic, or allied health background who can deliver autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision-making and effective patient management within primary care.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team, run your own clinics and provide flexible sessions up to four days per week, with morning and afternoon slots and long-term

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Background may be Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified)
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system

You will join an established multidisciplinary team and run your own clinics, supporting both urgent and routine patient demand. The practice offers clear pathways, strong administrative support and a smooth workflow to ensure effective session delivery.
