Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to cover a GP practice in Kirkcaldy. You will run your own clinics, delivering autonomous clinical assessments with safe decision-making within a structured primary care environment.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team, supporting urgent and routine patient demand. Flexible sessions available up to 4 days per week, with morning and afternoon clinics and long-term ongoing sessions.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner Level 7/Postgraduate qualification.
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsabilités

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work for a GP practice in Kirkcaldy. This role is ideal for an experienced ACP from a nursing, paramedic, or allied health background who can deliver autonomous clinical assessments, safe decision-making and efficient patient management within a structured primary care environment.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team and run your own clinics, supporting both urgent and routine patient demand. The practice offers clear pathways, strong administrative support and a smooth workflow to ensure effective session delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
