Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a GP practice in Ilford. You will deliver autonomous clinical assessments and safe decision-making within a structured primary care environment.

You will run your own clinics as part of an established multidisciplinary team, supporting urgent and routine patient demand with clear pathways and strong admin support. Flexible sessions up to 4 days/week are available, with morning and afternoon slots and ongoing

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification at Level 7 or higher.
• Background in nursing, paramedic science, physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification preferred (V300 or equivalent).
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision systems.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
