Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Congleton. The role suits ACPs from nursing, paramedic, or allied health backgrounds who can deliver autonomous assessments and safe decision-making.

You will run your own clinics within a supportive multidisciplinary team, with clear pathways and administrative support to ensure smooth session delivery. Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week with morning and afternoon slots.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification required (Level 7/Postgraduate).
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or UTC settings.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acute and same-day access clinics.
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified).
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows.
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system.
