Responsibilities

• Assess damaged locks/doors and provide accurate recommendations.
• Maintain clear job records and provide excellent customer service.
• Work across communal areas and residential properties within Local Authority settings.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Locksmith to support a Local Authority contract. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ hands‑on experience working with a wide range of locks and doors, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. A full driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair and replace all types of locks (including mortice, cylinder, UPVC and FB locks).
• Gain entry to properties in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Repair and replace doors, frames, and associated ironmongery.
• Carry out lock upgrades, fitting new locking systems and ensuring security standards are met.
• Assess damaged locks/doors and provide accurate recommendations.
• Maintain clear job records and provide excellent customer service.
• Work across communal areas and residential properties within Local Authority settings.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ locksmith experience.
• Experience working within Local Authority or social housing environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to start within 2 weeks.
