Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Parker Aerospace division in Coventry seeks a Quality Manager to lead the site Quality function at Ansty Park. You will ensure the Quality Management System meets customer, regulatory, and division requirements, while driving continuous improvement and supplier quality initiatives.

You will lead a team of ~25 Quality Engineers, coordinate audits, and drive performance across the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100/AS9110).
• Experience with FAA/EASA/Part 21 & Part 145 regulations.
• Minimum 5 years in Operational Quality Management.
• 3+ years in senior quality leadership; trained auditor with AS9100 Lead Auditor.
• Experience with quality tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D).

Role Overview

The Quality Manager, based at the Ansty Park manufacturing facility in Coventry, is responsible for leading and managing the site Quality function. The role forms part of the site leadership team and is accountable for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, implementing the Division's Quality Plan, and supporting the Parker-Meggitt Quality philosophy and Parker Lean System at plant level. The position also leads a team of approximately 25 Quality Engineers and drives quality performance, compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the site.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the plant Quality function, ensuring effective processes, systems, and standards are in place.
• Establish, maintain, and optimise the Quality Management System to meet customer, regulatory, Corporate, Group, and Division requirements.
• Implement AS9100/AS9110 standards, prevention methods, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Communicate customer, regulatory, industry, and organisational requirements to ensure product quality, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, develop, and support the local quality team to strengthen technical capability and performance.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
• Maintain corrective action processes to investigate, analyse, and resolve nonconformities and complaints.
• Monitor quality performance, customer satisfaction, Cost of Poor Quality, supplier quality, and product/service trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with site leadership to ensure employees performing quality-related activities are trained, competent, and achieving required performance standards.
• Assess supplier capability and drive supplier quality improvements where needed.

Education & Experience Needed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge & experience of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100/AS9110.
• Knowledge of FAA, EASA, CAAC Part 21 and Part 145 regulations.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Operational Quality Management.
• More than 3 years’ experience in a senior quality leadership role, such as Quality Manager.
• Trained auditor status, with AS9100 Lead Auditor approval.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience; Black Belt is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant quality tools and methods, including DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, 8D, and other aerospace or automotive core tools.
• Experience in project management and change management.
