Job description
Role Summary

The role will include working alongside our consultant, ANPs and junior doctor teams to support inpatient and outpatient care across the Department for Older People and Stroke (DMOPS) at the Aintree site. The successful applicant will rotate with other StR's across the care group to have access to all ward areas. Applications for less than full‑time working will be considered. The position is for a locally employed doctor until 1.8.2026. Applicants must have MRCP Part 2 and live in the UK.

Qualifications
  • MB ChB (or equivalent)
  • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2 (Written)
  • MRCP UK PACES
  • Full registration with the GMC and licence to practice (or eligible for)
  • IMT/CMT experience with equivalent post‑foundation training experience in internal medicine specialties for at least 2 years
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
Additional Experience (Desirable)
  • Additional GIM experience
  • Additional stroke/neurology/geriatric medicine related experience
  • Evidence of teaching experience and feedback
  • Qualification in medical education / education
  • Certified provider of Advanced Life Support (RCUK ALS)
  • Good understanding of "Good Medical Practice" from the GMC
  • IMPACT course
Audit / QI Experience (Essential)
  • Experience/participation in audit/QI projects
  • Awareness of research principles
  • UK professional registration
