A regional healthcare provider in Eastbourne is seeking a LAS 3+ for a busy haematology department. This role offers extensive clinical and laboratory experiences, including inpatient care and diagnostics. Candidates must have full GMC registration, with MRCP preferred. ESHT are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to gain broad clinical and laboratory Haematology experience as a LAS 3+ in a busy but friendly haematology department.
You will gain lots of haematology experience working alongside 6 haematology consultants, one SAS doctor and 4 haematology clinical nurse specialists.
There is also a team of 3 resident doctors (FY2) covering Haematology inpatients. This post is not recognised for training however provides excellent clinical and laboratory Haematology experience and there are plentiful educational and training opportunities. It would be suitable for doctors wanting a broad experience in Haematology prior to speciality training.
Clinical work includes outpatients, inpatient care including intensive chemotherapy. There will also be opportunity to gain experience in laboratory haematology and bone marrow biopsies.
You will need to be eligible to work in the UK, hold full GMC registration and a license to practise. MRCP preferred and prior Haematology experience or interest preferable.
