Job summary

UNISON seeks a Local Organiser with a base in Poole, offering travel across the Southwest Region to engage workers on the ground and drive union membership and action. The role involves developing organising strategies with Regional and Area Organisers to support the national Organising to Win plan.

• Local Organisers play an essential role in ensuring the success of our members’ campaigns.
• The role is very dynamic and would be suited to candidates who are keen to be on the ground, in workplaces, speaking directly to workers to motivate them to join their trade union and take collective action.
• With the support of Regional and Area Organisers, you will take part in the process of developing organising strategies, in line with the national Organising to Win strategy.

Job description

The Southwest Region is currently recruiting a Local Organiser. Theoffice base for this post will be Poole, but the role involves travel across the Southwest Region.
