About Us

Job Title: Local Land Charges Officer

Salary Range: £30,510 - £42,888

Full time, Fixed term contract for 12 months

Location: Hybrid Working from home & Wandsworth Town Hall

Other essential information: this position is based on 12 months fixed term contract or secondment for internal candidate

Objective of role

Wandsworth and Richmond Councils have an exciting opportunity within their Local Land Charges Team, we are recruiting a Local Land Charges Officer. The Local Land Charges Officer will ensure the Councils continue to deliver an excellent service, including completing Local Land Charges searches, maintaining the Councils registers, answering both internal and external questions related to the role as well as assisting colleagues and supporting key projects within the team.

About The Role

You will have a working knowledge of the LLC Service as well as a good understanding of IT systems. You will also have the experience needed to maintain the LLC Register, with support from the Senior LLC Officer, and undertake official searches to ensure the Councils meet their statutory and legislative obligations. While experience in maintaining the LLC Register and undertaking official searches is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates who do not have direct experience. Full training and support will be provided by the Senior LLC Officer to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge. If you have a good understanding of IT systems, a willingness to learn, and an interest in delivering a high‑quality service, we encourage you to apply.

  • To work effectively to meet deadlines and manage competing and changing priorities.
