Job summary

NSF is seeking auditing contractors to perform food safety checks at client sites across Nottinghamshire and nearby postcodes. Transition from hospitality to a structured, self‑employed role with clear hours and accountable outcomes.

You will inspect operations, train staff on-site, write inspection reports for clients, and plan visits to meet deadlines. Travel is included where needed, with expenses covered and autonomy to shape your workload.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualifications in Food Safety and Health & Safety.
• Degree in Environmental Health or similar preferred.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Do food safety checks at client sites
• Train and coach staff on-site - compliance-focused
• Write up inspection results and share with client managers
• Collect samples and send to labs for testing
• Plan inspections to meet deadlines
• Keep in touch with your team and client contacts
• Jump in on other tasks when needed
