A local government authority is seeking a Local Economy Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract in Greater London. This is an exciting opportunity to join Haringey and play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitious Inclusive Growth agenda. As Local Economy Manager (12‑month fixed term maternity cover), you will lead the development and implementation of Haringey’s new Inclusive Growth Plan, ensuring that growth across the borough benefits local businesses and residents. You will oversee the delivery of strategies that strengthen the local economy, attract investment, and foster place‑making regeneration, while prioritising long‑term economic, social, and environmental outcomes. Working closely with our business community, you will drive strategic engagement and ensure that the social value secured through planning and procurement processes is maximised for the benefit of Haringey’s residents and enterprises

We are seeking an ambitious and creative manager with a strong understanding of economic development and inward investment. You will bring proven experience in developing and implementing innovative, best‑practice programmes and strategies that drive job creation and support sustainable growth in the local economy. With a track record of building effective relationships and strong links with the local business community, you will be confident in leading a team to deliver impactful outcomes that benefit both residents and enterprises
